Growing Your Replacement- training up and mentoring future leaders

We will discuss best practices for identifying, motivating and growing future talent.  In the day of a revolving door of talent - it has never been more important to forge relationships with up and coming leaders.  The easiest way to retain an employee is to invest your time in their future.



Our Speaker:

Tony Murray serves as a Financial Analyst and Strategist with Gallagher.  He began his human resources career as a Personnel Assistant in 2000, and has since held the positions of benefits manager, account executive, information technology director, human resources director, and employee benefits consultant.  His current area of focus include people and health plan analytics.  Tony enjoys helping people solve complex problems, so they can reclaim their passion and change the world.

Prior to rejoining Gallagher, Tony worked as a Benefits Consultant with the Leavitt Group, Information Technology Director and Human Resources Director for Diamond B Construction.

Tony has earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and the Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certifications.  He is a currently serving his second term as a member of the Policy and Planning Board for the Office of Group Benefits (OGB) for the State of Louisiana, appointed by the Louisiana Speaker of the House.  He also currently serves as President-Elect of the Central Louisiana Society of Human Resources, Public Relations Chair for Louisiana SHRM, and as a member of the board for the Feleciana Retreat Center.  He has served in the past as president of the Central Louisiana Society of Human Resources (2014), a board member of the United Way of Central Louisiana where he served on the Operational Excellence Committee and as the Chairman of the HR committee from 2016-2019.

Born and raised in Billings, Montana, Tony has been a Central and South Louisiana resident for 26 years where he has raised two sons, Bailey (22) who is studying to be a nurse at University of Louisiana Monroe and Noah (19) who is pursuing and English degree at University of Louisiana Monroe.
