Join us as we wrap up our "Strategic HR Series" with our CEO/COO Panel Discussion including Annie Gauthier of St. Romain Oil Company and Kris Hickman of Hickman HR Consulting.

Our Speakers

Annie Gauthier is the CFO/Co-CEO at St. Romain Oil Company in Mansura, Louisiana.  She is responsible for the company's finance and accounting, risk management, HR and strategic and culture development. A third-generation co-owner, she works with her 2 brothers, 2 uncles, 2 aunts, and 330 other team members to refuel & refresh the Louisiana communities where they operate.

Annie earned her BA in British history at LSU, then discovered that law school was not for her.  She worked for the Louisiana Oil Marketers & Convenience Store Association (LOMCSA) for 3 years before joining the family business in 2005. She has served in various leadership roles with LOMCSA, culminating with President in 2017.  She has served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Convenience Stores since 2018.  Annie is also a founding member of Corporate Works of Mercy Foundation, a private 501(c)3 focused on helping neighbors in need by living the biblical corporal works of mercy. Her purpose is to chart tomorrow's course from yesterday's lessons.

Married to her high school sweetheart, Adam, and mother to 3 children, Samuel, Ellen and Henry, Annie lives in her small hometown of Mansura.  She enjoys cooking, reading, traveling and planning trips (especially to Britain, Ireland and France).

St. Romain Oil Company (SRO) was founded in 1970 by Edmond St. Romain to provide quality fuels and lubricants to farmers, loggers, construction, riverboats, generators and service stations in central Louisiana.  The company ventured into “gas stations” in 1987.  SRO sold its commercial fuels business in 2009 and evolved its focus to convenience retail and proprietary food service as it built up a network of 17 stores.  A Shell jobber since 1970, the company serves as a fuel broker for a 25-dealer network, all branded Shell or unbranded.  SRO owns 15 stores and licenses its Y-Not Stop brand to 2, all heavily focused on food service.  The company ownership transitioned to the 3rd generation in 2016, when Todd & Sondra St. Romain sold the business to 3 of their children, who partner to operate the company.

Kris Hickman is the owner of Hickman HR Consulting.

Kris graduated from Louisiana College in 1994 and received a Bachelor of Social Work. She received her Master’s in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University in 1998. Kris presently holds the SPHR and SHRM-SCP certification designations.
